RUN FROM NGAKUTA BAY

After adverse weather forecasts made us postpone the second attempt for a run out of Ngakuta Bay by a further day we finally had fine and calm conditions for a very enjoyable run with eight boats and fifteen participants.  We had a cruise up Grove Arm and then stopped at Anakiwa to view “our brick” that the club sponsored about six years ago.  Lunch was then eaten on the lawn outside Peter Thwaites’ family bach and this was then followed by an interesting info session on the history of the bay and a visit the ‘mut’ which is a quirky little hut that still has wheels underneath.

 Thank you, Peter.
